Environmental Policy Statement:

Our commitment to ensuring the protection of the environment Secure A Site UK recognizes its wider social and environmental responsibilities both in our operating practices and the influence we can bring to bear as a national company in the scaffold alarm industry and purchaser of goods and services to develop policies and procedures to ensure, as far as is reasonably practicable, the prevention of pollution and preservation of natural resources.

Through the identification of goals and targets, Secure A Site undertakes to develop continual improvements in its Policy, procedures and systems and we are therefore committed to taking positive action wherever possible to influence environmental issues including:

  • Providing information and guidelines to staff regarding ways of maximizing energy efficiency, minimizing waste and preventing pollution.
  • Designing procedures to reduce paper wastage and/or storage through technological innovations such as the use of email and Company Intranet and online scaffold alarm quotation system.
  • Use of registered recycling companies to handle the recycling of toners used within printers and photocopiers, paper, cardboard, plastic cups, discarded uniforms and waste electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Collection, storage and recycling of used copper cables, batteries and fittings.
  • Correct disposal of old nicad rechargeable batteries and other dry and wet cell units.
  • Development of new security devices and equipment which has less effect on the environment, using where possible solar panels or wind turbines.
  • Reuse of ply hoarding's, recycle or disposal through approved recycle company, ensure hoarding's are painted with eco friendly paints with low emission value.
  • Regular servicing of vehicles and equipment to maximize efficiency and fuel conservation. Where possible use bio grade fuel transport, attend meetings using public transport limiting waste from single car users as much as possible.
  • Recycling waste where appropriate, using recycled products wherever practicable.
  • Giving preferential consideration to environmentally friendly products and suppliers who demonstrate a higher level of environmental concern

Review of such objectives and targets will be undertaken through the organizations’ quarterly meetings between Management, Directors and staff of Secure A Site UK Ltd

Our company has previously demonstrated a clear record of compliance with regard to its environmental legal requirements and undertakes to continue this through its commitment to all UK legislative environmental Standard Practices applicable to the organization, within the scope of the Environmental Management System within our Rules & Procedures Manual.

Each client site may have specific environmental considerations and Secure A Site Security Personnel’s employees will uphold any policy or procedures that may be in existence to safeguard the clients undertaking to protect the environment.
